I've never seen Unbreakable, and many people seem to think that's his best one, even better than The Sixth Sense. That one's still my favorite. I thought The Village was alright, but nothing spectacular. However, James Newton Howard's score has to be one of the most hauntingly beautiful scores I've ever heard.

I was only planning on seeing two movies this year:
Indy 4 and "The Happening"
But after a lack-luster "The Village", and terrible "Lady In the Water", the reviews for "The Crappening" have made me completely decide to not see it. No interest what so ever.
And Indy 4 reviews are just what I thought the film would be: bad Can't make excuses for it just because it can be meassured up to other bad films like "The Crappening".
That's like saying "Matrix: Reloaded" was a good film just because it's better than "Plan 9 From Outer Space".
I intend to now see "Wall-E", but feel I won't thouroughly enjoy it.
I also am going to see the second X-Files movie, because I forgot that it was coming out.

Just so we're clear, I really liked Indy 4. The Happening simply let me get rid of all my nitpicking annoyances, which is what most of those negative reviews (all 22% of them, according to Rotten Tomatoes) comprise of. I don't think you'll like it because you've already set up your mind, but this is really a case of "I'm not ten any more, therefore everything sucks about this movie".

No, this is a case of track record. I know his writing and style very well and after reading enough reviews of the film I know enough to make an intelligent decision.
Just like I knew what "Doom" and "Scary Movie 3" were going to be. Come on.

Anyone who isn't warmed and delighted as the credits of WALL-E roll truly has nothing but cold, untouchable steel surrounding their heart. Agreed. WALL-E is the first truly excellent film of the year, ranking up there with the very best of Pixar's oeuvre. Maybe this warrants its own thread?

Wall-E is the best film I've seen this year. Everything you'd expect a Pixar film to be, and then some. Back at ya later

I think I'll go see "Wall-E" then for sure, since everyone here is really liking it.
Because of my cousin's daughter, I saw "Toy Story" and while it was funny and somewhat enjoyable, it's not something I feel I ever need to see again.
AGain, because of her, I saw "Finding Nemo" and really enjoyed it (though it lacked a little someting); have seen it three times now, including recently when they showed it on TV(and played a couple minute clip from "Wall-E" to boot).
Then I saw"The Incredibles" and really enjoyed that one and hope I see it again.
Didn't see "Cars" because of the rather iff reviews; ad to that I dont' car for car racing and it's star is a race car, they might as well make a movie about talking footballs.

What's more stupid: plants emitting something in the air that only targets humans to kill (The Happening) or aliens that go around the universe saving planets (The Day the Earth Stood Still [2008]) The plants, definitely. How about anything from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? Incidentially, I just saw Southland Tales, and that movie beats everything mentioned in this thread combined in terms of stupidity.

The fact that Keanu Reeves actually landed the role of Klaatu in that film is far more stupid than the premise of remake itself... and that's saying something. -Jockolantern

Ratatouille was great. Wall-E was, if not equal, even better.
