Comic? TV, film, now comic? How many forms of media do I have to follow to maintain a continuous storyline here? -Brendan Officially? I think it's just the comic, movie, and tv show. The comic is a bridge between the show and movie. It was written by Whedon, and the dialog is classic Firefly. The story itself is okay. It's not very filling, but at least it answers some questions. I believe this book has all the comics compiled: Those Left Behind

Yay for resurrecting threads over a year old! However, I just found my way over to Hulu.com, a nice TV streaming website and they have 14 full episodes of Firefly free and available for watching. I just re-watched the pilot after not having seen any episodes for about a year and now I want to watch the whole series again. Anyway, just go to: www.hulu.com/firefly - unfortunately the service is for U.S. streaming only...sorry internationals. -Brendan

I haven't seen a single episode of "Firefly", but I thought "Serenity" was pretty decent.
Back at ya later

4 years later it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Yes, the movie was good enough that I can honestly say it was better than nothing, but the series was much better.

I finally bought and watched Serenity a few months ago.......did NOT like it. I am deeply saddened by this news While I admit that the film's weakness is trying to juggle a TV size cast and a seasons worth of revelations into a single 2 hour movie, I felt it held together really well; I found it satisfying to have some closure on many outstanding questions.

Its sad that the plan to revive the series was a failure. I really loved it.Joss Whedons new show Dollhouse looks interesting. (i admit i´ve seen all of Buffy and Angel and loved it, too.)

You know, the movie didn't do anything for me either until I went back and watched the TV show. As a stand alone story it's kinda weak and generic, with way too much focus on River and Simon, the two worst characters. But it was interesting enough to make me want to see more. Having seen the brilliant show and now being invested in the characters, I thoroughly enjoyed Serenity on second viewing.
