James Newton Howard is my all-time favorite composer.
For a long time, my favorite composer was Harry Gregson-Williams for two reasons: Sinbad and Metal Gear Solid.
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas is my favorite score. And one of the best I have ever heard.
I don't care for much Ennio Morricone.
I hate Thomas Newman's music outside of the 'beauty' tracks he writes (That Next Place, Finding Nemo Theme, parts of In the Bedroom).
I have a hard time listening to a complete John Williams score. He writes amazing themes, but entire scores are hard to slug through.
The Village and Lady in the Water are VASTLY superior to Unbreakable and Signs.
Although I have yet to hear it on album, I remember Graeme Revell's score to Titan A.E. being awesome in the movie.
I love Transformers, no matter what people say. It is the best thing to come out of Zimmer & Co in....ever?
Brian Tyler is fucking amazing.

John Ottman has never (from what I heard) done anything "good" since "The Usual Suspects", and even that score was "okay".
Michael Bay has NEVER made a film worth a damn.

JNH's best score is Lady in the Water. The End Titles from that score contain his best theme. Contrary to popular belief Jeff Danna pwns Mychael Danna. Kung Fu: The Legend Continues anyone? The guy who invented the Dinorama CD-case for Williams' the "Lost World" needs to be locked up. Horrible. Brian Tyler? -Nate

1. JNH and Trevor Jones are underrated (probably my favorite two composers) and anyone who thinks they are overrated must die by the sword.
2. I think Muckle should give up on the Kung Fu thing already

MUCH warmer, but still not correct. Tyler is pretty hot though.

"Krull" is a terrible score and it's over all writing seems to be like "Legend", but with non of that damn songs mixed in score cues.
I don't think J.N.H. will ever top himself on "Signs", but I hold out hope for "I Am Legend".

Every time I try and hum the "Dark Crystal" theme it morphs into Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" theme, which is a better theme. Josh Groban should be featured on more score CDs. Jangles should give up on the Merlin thing already. -Nate

My favorite JNH is Waterworld, nothing really comes close for me.

Every time I try and hum the "Dark Crystal" theme it morphs into Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" theme I have the same trouble with the themes from E.T. and Out of Africa. The latter is basically a slower tempo version of the former.

I didn't mention Merlin.
3. Bryan Tyler is probably who ladies would think is the hottest film composer

Superman Returns is a better score than the original. (But mad props to Williams for writing one of the best themes of music history.)
Both Troy scores are overrated. (Although Yared's theme is pretty hardcore.)

Jangles needs to quit mentioning Merlin.
Everytime I read Graeme Revell I think of Graham Crackers or Smores.
Mychael Danna spells his first name wrong.
