You only live once, right? ~Emily~ That sort of depends on your religion... but if your Catholic, then yeah, you're pretty much screwed. ;D pete.

Yup, as soon as I pressed that post button, I thought to myself, "Someone is going to make a joke about reincarnation or something." And I was right. ~Emily~

I've also read the quotes from the Howard Shore gathering. Also interesting. ~Emily~ And that was only the official report! Here's a link to an actual transcript of the night they met Mr. Shore-- about halfway down the page: www.filmtracks.com/scoreboard/main.cgi?read=101783 ;D

Funnily enough I got that same message from an internet bar in Beijing - and at that time it made sense. Sort of. I can't imagine any Chinese with their shitty English going to an internet bar and logging on to filmtracks, reading and WRITING stuff... My God, all they can say is "thank you good bye". With the exception of the... ehm... hookers who can also say "wanna fuck, wanna fuck?". But it seems to work from my home down in the south of the big country, so it might really be a Taiwan/Beijing problem. I sort of do hope I don't get banned accidentally, but if it happens I'll get over it with Jon's site.

Jens, why do you hate Filmtracks so much? I just don't see how it's that bad... perhaps because I haven't been around as long as you and didn't experience the glory years. It is a long and depressing story that I plan to tell you in London. Let's just say it has something to do with the manner of the Texas Ranger's banning. It was when I first realized Clemmenson was pure evil. To meet anyone from the board would be nice really, because you all are so chummy and have "gathered" on several occassions, kinda makes me feel left out. Don't worry, it is going to happen.

It was when I first realized Clemmenson was pure evil. Ah, I see. I've been wondering about this Texas Ranger person and his banning. Don't worry, it is going to happen. Wow, very emphatic statement......should I be worried? Just kidding. ~Emily~

Maybe you guys could wait until I come back... let's say some time in August. I have some stuff that I still have to pick up from London, so everything could be combined quite nicely. I won't hold my breath, but just to let you know...

I don't remember the details of Tex's banning-- the last time, ie, since he was banned a few times before that (and before my time), if I rmember correctly. Wildly cynical and sarcastic that sure didn't hold on his thoughts nor wrap them in sugar. Interesting things, too. Hey, why doesn't he post here? The Paris Ranger- PS - Odd: (1) there's no grey (2) when you type "grey" in the color tag, you get green ;D

Sorry Armin, the dates for my trip to London are pretty much set in stone (the last three weeks of May), as I'm going as part of my school's study abroad program. But that's only me. Perhaps others would rather meet up in August. ~Emily~

Yeah . . . . . . umm . . . I think I've been banned from Filmtracks more than most people old people get banned from driving expressways. If you want the nitty-gritty of it, I have nothing to offer -- except to say it was a difference of religion: Clemmy thought he was God, and I disagreed. And on a technical level, there was really only ONE banning. I kinda just kept coming back to annoy him -- like one of those boils on your ass that never quite goes away. In the end I've found abstinence to be the best policy. Now if only I could apply that to booze. Oh, Olivier, that's sweet. I didn't know you cared. I've been wondering that myself. PLJ[/i]
