I wish Lennie Moore was the lead. That man is very talented and also a super nice guy.

I wish Lennie Moore was the lead. That man is very talented and also a super nice guy. indeed. just look at the quality change in the prince caspian gamescore. mark griskey tracks....ok-sometimes nice...additional music by lennie moore- outstanding. i don´t like the force unleashed score and gordy haabs indiana jones gamescore. the were both uninspired and temptracky. i really hope they do their best without relying too much on the williamas-scores. it worked in KotOR1 and 2, so don´t fuck it up.

Anybody else going to play Star Trek: Online? I just pre-ordered it on Steam, and if any of you folks are going to play it as well, we should trade user names.

No, worries, Jens. I'm available for the MMO nerdstravaganza. Only thing is Steam is arbitrarily picky about what it lets me buy via download and what not. In this case, I'll have to wait until my Amazon order arrives, but I'm there.

Oh, in other news, the genius/asshole who cracked the iPhone (dev team disputes the claim, though) has hacked the PS3: geohotps3.blogspot.com/2010/01/heres-your-silver-platter.htmlFor now, it looks like Sony might temporarily postpone the massive piracy that will come with this with a firmware update, but I think it's done. Of course, some will claim this is a move in the interest of homebrewers (while, in reality, the crackers simply take joy in the challenge and their leet cred) and that now you'll be able to turn the PS3 into the ultimate media center by tuning it to play whatever kind of media file you want it to play using the XBMC, aka "God's media center for mankind". Not being familiar with XBMC, is it really that good? Also, that access to certain portions of the PS3 infrastructure will allow scientists to make the most of it as a number cruncher and modeling super computer, but it's 2010, they must have moved on by now. tl;dr Piracy strikes again.

Also, do you like to Skype while playing MMOs? Because I do.

The Secret Armory of General Knoxx....details sound like it could calm me down easy after that horrible mad moxxie disaster. New Vehicles, Enemys, Weapons, Items, Missions, Environments, LevelCap-Increase...Nice looking foes on those Screenshots.

Also, do you like to Skype while playing MMOs? Because I do. I made a Skype account at the end of 2008 when I desperately needed to find someone. Ever since, Skype kept bugging me about my account balance."Yo, Skype here, you should use this." "No, seriously. Do something about your balance." "Look, moron, we're being nice about this months in advance. Either you use this or we're keeping the money." "Please, I'm begging you. Do the right thing and set your account straight." "I can't endure this any longer. I can't sleep at night, thinking about your precious balance, hanging in there, prepped up in case it's needed, waiting for a call from its owner. Why? Why are you doing this?" "Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two." All in all, I lost $9.50. But what's this about Skype in-game? I'm not very familiar with MMO territory. Other PC games, I just grab my head set and roll. On TF2, mostly when I'm feeling kind and want to be helpful to the team or when I'm at my most passive aggressive due to me going medic and innocently following other players who think they have it all figured out (fooling me, too) and incessantly running into a death trap when I'm at 97% charge. Those 21 seconds of respawn time yield hatred towards my fellow polygon man.

That's a terrifying story, Hook. Must have been the olden days when you had to pay for Skype. I myself have never paid for it in my life.
Of course we can also use the built-in Steam chat or Vent instead. My point was that when I'm playing something as grindy and time-consuming as an MMO, I like to voice chat.

Gearbox has a lot to make up for after the last crap shoot.

Gearbox has a lot to make up for after the last crap shoot. Same goes for Bioware. Return to Ostagar was 45mins long, almost everything recycled and light on story and conversations. Not Pinacle Station bad, but also not as good as Bring Down the Sky.

Mass Effect 2....amazing game from start to finish. Planet Scaning is ok with music from your harddrive. (ULTRAMAN!) Only thing that annoys me is the unskipable intro. I´ve started to score it with different music, and the best result is when you start playing Destruction of the Hometree when the text appears. When your timing is right it works from the point where the attack beginns until the sad sunrise before the main credits. And again Horner plays with your emotions.

L.A.Noire New details from Gameinformer are very, very promising. An totally different take on open world gaming. Mafia plus Heavy Rain plus Mass Effect plus L.A. Confidential. It also does not look to be dumbed-down for casual gamers. Solving cases will require the use of your brain, not pressing buttons in the right order.Still, there is no explantion how the action sequences will work. I guess there will be not much of them, though. no problem with that. open world adventure game? that could be too much to handle.
