In response to the senseless bickering and general senselessness at the Filmtracks Scoreboard, and Film Score Monthly, I'm going to try to make a concerted effort to bring the MMUK Forum back to life.
Let me be perfectly clear - this is not a diss at Christian Clemmensen, or any of the wonderful sensible people who post there, or at all the intellectually stimulating conversations that happen at FSM from time to time.
I think I just want a respite from the idiots and trolls and religious nutcases who make posting at Filmtracks such a chore these days, as well as Yor and "Dan the Man" at FSM who bring down the level of discourse to sophomoric levels.
So - please - have at it. I've got a brand new review debuting tomorrow evening, which I'll post a link for here, to try to get the ball rolling.
Have fun everyone!
Jon

I am all for returning to the MMUK Boards. To be honest, I find this layout much easier to follow. It also feels like, in a way, coming home.

I hope this board makes a comeback. Since it's not affiliated with any CD label, we can be more open about CD releases. I lurk occasionally on the Filmtracks board but never signed up and don't intend to do so; while I am a member of the FSM and Intrada boards, I rarely post on either. Hopefully, James Southall will make his way back over here.

Hey! Posted here a while ago under the name vwing when I was wee lad (I guess compared to a lot of you still a bit of a wee lad). Haven't really posted on a forum in a while but I'm definitely down to try this out, should be fun! And Jon, even when I haven't been posting, have always enjoyed your reviews, they're some of the more thought out on the web, especially since dedicated reviewers have really shrunk since when I first started scouring the web for them in 2004, so thank you very much for your work.

Sweet! This was a great board for quite a while. I was sad to see it die down. It's a bajillion times better than the filmtracks and fsm forums. I think the time is right for a revival around here. Thanks for getting this going again, Jon!

It lives! IT LIVES!!!!!!

Thank you very much, guys, for both responding to my "call to arms", and for the kind words about the site and the reviews and whatnot. I intend to be significantly more active here in future, but please - this is your forum as much as it is mine! The floor is open, ladies and gentlemen.

Greetings! I am James Southall. Hope this place kicks off again. It was great here a while back when it was really active - great bunch of people here. Hope to see a lot of the old faces again.
Well done Jon on attempting to resurrect it.

Great to have this board back. "PT" here, you can call me Pete.
Let's see what this place can do...

Hey there! I'm Clark. Some of you may remember me - I was even doing a bit of writing here once upon a time. But it's been a long time. I haven't really been active on a film music board in years. Initially, this was mostly because I wound up getting busy with other things - my workload increased, I got a gig writing DVD reviews for another site, I started doing some community theatre stuff - just a little bit of everything, and while I've continued to keep up with what's happening in the world of film music, it's been a smaller part of my life than it used to be. I considered the notion of jumping back into the fray at some point, but I wasn't really a fan of the respective environments at FSM and Filmtracks, and this board was generally rather quiet. However, with Jon's noble effort to make this place an active, friendly place to talk about film music, I'd love to rejoin the conversation if you fine folks will have me.

I've missed your thoughts on film music, Clark (apart from the occasional Facebook comment) - great to see you here again!

It's really great to see you all posting here again! Clark, I've missed your input on film music, too. Are still doing the "Sights and Sounds of Cinema" thing?

Great to be back here. I'll try to be more active here and it would be great to. I'm inclined to connect with the international community more than I did before. This board and also the MainTitles one is definitely my way to go

I've missed your thoughts on film music, Clark (apart from the occasional Facebook comment) - great to see you here again! Thank you, sir! I haven't done much commenting on either site, but Movie-Wave and MMUK have been the only two film music sites I've continued to check regularly over the past few years. Your witty writing remains a great pleasure to read.
