On a side note, this week's South Park was terrific. A welcome spot of fun in a dry spell for Parker/Stone. Hilarious commentary on both sides of the political spectrum post-election with a creative side-story regarding a heist masterminded by Obama and McCain themselves. This is the stuff the two South Park creators are best at: quippy social commentary balanced nicely with something completely off-the-wall. Good stuff.

I watched that episode too. I loved how they made Sarah Palin's accent a ruse to throw people off, and that she is actually a British aristocrat in a catsuit!

I thought it was cute. Nothing super special, but a nice, decent story way above the other crap they've churned out this half-season. Seriously, I expected a 5-minute lecture by Stan and Kyle about voter apathy and how they're being edgy by calling the candidates stupid after embracing their Paultard agenda. This was refreshing.

I was flipping channels (aside: there must be a another way of conveying the same meaning as "I was flipping channels" without use of the phrase, because everyone talks like that and it's maddening) and came across a show I've given cursory ganders at, D.L. Hughley Breaks the News and to my surprise it wasn't bad at all. It was... enjoyable. Nowhere near the perfection of Colbert, but not a bad option to have in the background as you work (by which I mean writing in these very message boards).

I'm saddened that Pushing Daisies was canceled, but I'm happy to hear that Bryan Fuller is returning to Heroes. I'm not sure if it's enough for me to care about the show again, but its worth a shot. Also, I'm currently watching season 4 of Lost (about half way through), and must say it's pretty damn good so far. Definite improvement over seasons 2 and 3. In some ways it's tighter than season 1. The show I'm looking most forward to? Dollhouse. Hopefully it's good and hopefully Fox will give it a fair chance to succeed. Oh, and the final season of Battlestar Galactica.

There's nothing on TV right now but Jews and Arabs killing each other. That and John Travolta movies.

Well, I watched the first two episodes and I'm not sure what to think. The first episode just seemed like a continuation of the over the top goofiness of the past couple of seasons, but the second episode was actually pretty decent. I'll need to watch more episodes to see if Bill Lawrence fulfills his promise of restoring the show to the quality of the first few seasons.

The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien It's cool, mah-babies! The run across America was pretty awesome. Andy Richter seems a bit useless though.

Andy Richter seems a bit useless though. Yes, it's too bad they couldn't find some other use for Andy. Having him simply laugh into his overly-hot mic during Conan's monologue will get old really fast. While Joel Goddard (Conan's former announcer) often passed the limits of decency, his creepiness/awkwardness produced some of the funniest moments on that show. They should have brought him along... -Brendan

I enjoyed Conan's opening night, but he definitely did seem off his game just a little. I think the show could have done with one or two less video sketches. Also, yeah, somebody needs to fix that ungainly Andy Richter situation right now. Still, at least Leno isn't at the helm anymore, and I'm positive that Conan will find his groove soon enough.

It's too bad people won't give Andy's hilarious shows good ratings. I was watching old videos, expanded clips, and stuff I hadn't seen from Late Night on Hulu all of last night through daytime (pathetic, but I laughed really hard) and stumbled on this site: www.latenightunderground.com/ Nice to see Conan is a great, likeable guy behind the scenes. Can't go wrong with Conan.

I can't get into Conan's humor at all. Craig Ferguson is the King of All Late-Night for me!

I can't get into Conan's humor at all. Craig Ferguson is the King of All Late-Night for me! I like Ferguson, too... still, Conan's my favorite of the bunch. I find his style very smart and original. With the dull Jimmy Fallon taking over Late Night, I suspect I'll mostly be flipping between Conan and Dave during the first hour and sticking with Ferguson during hour two... when I actually sit around watching late-night television, anyway.
