That was great! I agreed with everything he said. I really liked it when he started ripping into EA and the new generation of gamers. He pretty much explained why I don't buy games anymore and when I buy a new one they rarely do anything for me like the older ones. -Nate |

but he is right about electronic arts, the incredibly shitty bomberman 360 and the colour brown.its everywhere.also dislike the design of the binoc commando hero.ugly as hell.but his ideas for new unique stuff at the end are just idiotic.FPS with Mummys? formidable foes...not at all.

Yahtzee wannabe, not funny at all, and most of his problems stem from playing too many games. You know, games are fun if you play the good ones and stay away from the shitty ones and don't make it your mission in life to assess and critique every single game ever made. If you're so much engulfed in games that you're left agog to make a poor-man's Zero Punctuation, you've got a problem. The comments on the new generation of "hardcore"/"jock" gamers (not his precise words, but you get my drift) were spot-on. With each passing day, I find the Halo series and all its FPS tag-alongs to be increasingly mediocre. Bingo. These days, I have more fun romping around on my Virtual Console then I do with 90% of current gen games, particularly those on the 360 and PS3. Nintendo has stayed much truer to their old fashioned sensebilities with their work on the Wii. They at least understand that they don't have to try for more dramatic, dark, serious, or adult content to make a wonderful game. |
