Alledgedly, it is the same here in Sheffield. You don't understand, Pete. Atlanta is a major cosmopolitan city, not a one-horse Mike Leigh-film-inspiring town like Sheffield. Also this isn't real snow we're talking about, like we're used to in Europe or -- God forbid -- the American Midwest. It's usually not even a quarter of an inch thick, and people here are utterly, utterly incapable of dealing with it. It doesn't even get properly cold here. While the Southerners are locking themselves in for fear of dying of frost-bite, I'm frolicking outside, dressed only in khakis and a Hawaiian shirt.

You know, I had an ex-girlfriend tell me the exact same thing. Oh, you know it hasn't been a good winter if you haven't had to resort to in-house petacide. Cat, by the way, goes good with sweet and sour sauce. DAMN YOU AND YOUR MASS PRODUCED CONFECTIONARIES! The taste still lingers in my mouth ... Mmmm... Anglo-sugary goodness. ;D How does that song from Popeye, go? -- "I will gladly trade this snowdrift for a Lion Bar today!" CHORUS: "He will gladly pay you Tuesday for a Lion Bar today!"All right, you win THIS round, Broxton . . . but that's dirty pool picking on my sweet tooth. [glow=red,2,300]PLJ[/glow]

Now now... Atlanta is barely twice the size of Sheffield! Riiiiiiiiiiight. Even if that was true, which it quite probably isn't, we'd still have the Coca Cola world headquarter. Does Sheffield contain the Coca Cola world headquarter? I don't think so!Cat, by the way, goes good with sweet and sour sauce. Indeed, but don't tell Greykitty.

What does this amount of snow mean to people in Holland? Probably the same as to the people of Freiburg...they don't know what to do with it, get confused, then scared, then, they die. Bah...amateurs! ;D Actually, they deal with it. They have fun with it, build snowmen, throw snowballs, sled down hills, crash cars on freeway... that kinda stuff. pete.
