My fave CURRENT show is "24" ... (anyone up to date with that apart from me in here?) I also just finished the 4th season of "Six Feet Under" ... damn great quality television. What shows do YOU watch / want to share with other people?

Btw. Other (recent) shows I consider "great": The Sopranos, The Shield, parts of Enterprise, Scrubs, Arrested Development, Carnivàle (just started) ... oh, and I just throw in King Of Queens for good measure. I could make an "all time" list, but that'd take long.

I must first say that I reply in protest...protest that this off-topic area be elimated!! Down with government! ;D clears throat/me Now, on to the subject at hand. There is very little TV that needs to be watched these days...because most of it sucks. I support the shows that do not suck: Watched EVERY time: - Seinfeld (yes Mac, I know...I don't want to hear it. )
- Alias (Go Giacchino/Tilton!)
- LOST (Go Giacchino!)
- Extreme Makeover: Home Edition (imagine that...a popular show that actually does good for people)
Watched Occasionally: - The Amazing Race (the composer is a friend...I like to give support )
- Family Guy
- The Simpsons
- Star Trek: TNG re-runs
- the new Justice League cartoon
- The Batman
Everything else is just too lame and not-funny. TV is in trouble... -Brendan

This season of 24 is probably my second favorite so far. Starting the season without the regular cast members turned out to be a great idea; not only can we now skip the obligatory and lame Kim plotline, but it also makes the return of some characters much more memorable.
Lost is getting better as the season goes on, and could very well be one of the strongest on TV by summer. I'm rooting for it, since a couple of people from my old favorite TV show, Angel, work behind the scenes.
How much music is Tilton doing for Alias these days? I have a hard time picturing Giacchino scoring 2 TV shows, as one is grueling enough.
Everwood is solid as always, although if it weren't for the VCR I would skip it for 24.
Um, that about does it. I watch Conan O'Brian and The Daily Show occasionally, and that's about it.

I hardly watch any television any more. But, among my fave shows I count the following:
- Coupling - Spin City - Fawlty Towers - That 70s Show - The Simpsons - South Park - The Daily Show (with Jon Stewart) - Conan O'Brien, Jay Leno, Dave Letterman (yup, in that order; but haven't seen any of 'm in ages). - The X-Files... before it started to drag (and no, I don't mean David Duchovny wearing women's clothing...) - Nowhere Man... untill it became clear this was never going to be resolved. - Time Team... with Tony Robinson; more a docu-series, but really cool if you like archeology. - Scrapheap Challenge (or something to that effect)... andther cool show from Discovery channel where two teams have to build a working machine from scratch and from scrap.
Fave show ever: The League of Gentlemen.
Those are the ones that come to mind. Don't get me wrong, there are loads more shows I enjoy(ed), but these come to mind as the top ones.
pete.

I agree ... not that the last seasons were bad, but this one is refreshingly different and yet back to the roots. Although there are some things that bug me: S P O I L E R FOR THOSE NOT UP TO DATE. . . . Yet another frickin mole in the CTU??? They should shut this place down and the world would be saver. At least no Kimsell in distress this time. Although Driscoll's daughter pisses me off a little ... it's only filler ... or even worse ... I can imagine that later on she freaks out and causes some kind of disaster when CTU is most needed intact... [/color]

Being a Brit living in the U.S., I can watch many of my favourite shows that would takes ages to arrive in the U.K. STAR TREK:ENTERPRISE. CSI. CSI:MIAMI. CSI:NY. NUM3ERS. MEDIUM. LAW AND ORDER. LAW AND ORDER:CRIMINAL INTENT. LAW AND ORDER:SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT. BBC America does show some good U.K. programmes, those seem to be few and far between. However, at the weekend, we do get The Avengers, The Saint and The Persuaders.

Things I LIKE to watch, but tend to forget that its on:
Friends The King of Queens Roseanne Letterman/Leno/Conan Michael Parkinson Jonathan Ross anything which shows footage of the police chasing a drunk redneck in a pickup down the 405 freeway Whose Line Is it Anyway Have I Got News For You any other comedy/satire panel shows
Stuff I USED to watch, but they don't show it anymore
Red Dwarf Blackadder (especially series 4) classic Star Trek
more when I remember them...
