Why must off-topic threads be separated from the general discussion threads? The best part about off-topic stuff is that when it occurs within the world of topics, it can often relate very loosely to the actual world of on-topic in fun and unexpected ways!
For instance, the Filmtracks thread Jens started about being confronted by a young man's genitalia in a locker room: many of the responses were related to film music! Not to mention the many spin-off film music topics that could have arisen: what music was going through Jens' head at the time? Might whistling the theme to Rambo have helped the situation?
All I'm saying is that, as much as it might seem to make sense to keep "off-topic" on its own, it really takes away from the spirit of a centralized discussion forum does it not?
-Brendan, on the topic of being off the topic

You [glow=red,2,300]fiend![/glow] That's an abuse of moderator power to re-add text I deleted for amusement purposes! ;D Okay, fine. Maybe I did say "recent"....the point still remains: Off-Topic belongs with the rest of the general discussion because otherwise it's boring. After all, you and Jon would still have delete power if things got TOO out of control....you know, wardrobe malfunctions and what-not. -Brendan, uncensored!

Nah, this isn't MovieMusic.com. I don't think Pete and Jon would get too gestapo on us. I just think that some of the film music discussion flavor gets lost if all the off-topic stuff is off on its own. Sure it can get out of hand, but it always comes around...at least it has on Filmtracks (mostly) for the last 7 years... [glow=blue,2,300]-Brendan[/glow]

Well, I'm going to keep this completely off-topic, though something tells me it might become on-topic... What does the sign in our avatar say?

Well, I'm going to keep this completely off-topic, though something tells me it might become on-topic... What does the sign in our avatar say?-Carlton Move your mouse over the avatar. Right click. Choose properties. See the url? Copy it. Paste in the address bar. Tada!! ;D As for the topic of Off Topic... the reason why we created these subdirectories is to keep things clean and organized (and so that Mac can post his porn pics without interfering with this site's main mission: promote filmmusic). But, by all means, I'm not stopping you from posting anything anywhere. If things get out of hand, there's always a few neat moderator tricks. pete.

Thankyou. Brendan has a tendency to post mysterious pictures that hieghtens my curiousity. I still don't why it looks like the person standing next to him in his FT profile picture was cut out. Anyway, I can read the sign now, but I still can't make out all those signatures. I'm assuming that Brendan took part in the Vandalism. Where's his signature (And yours)?...

Anyway, I can read the sign now, but I still can't make out all those signatures. I'm assuming that Brendan took part in the Vandalism. The only person to actually sign the sign was Christian Keuhn since he's the biggest fanatic. ;D I merely posed for the picture. Most of the names on the sign are from raving Beatles fans...imagine that. As for my filmtracks photo, yes, I did cut the person next to me out...because it's my profile! The girl standing next to me was just a fan anyway. -Brendan p.s. for more filmtracks gathering beatles fun, see my new avatar!

Imagine Scott Bakula singing "Imagine"... It's on the Quantum Leap cd.
Thanks for satisfying my curiosity... It just reminded me of Uncle Buck, when he''s going through the photo album and sees that he has been folded out of the picture ...
That's a cool pic, but it's scary because it looks like everyone is Marching to the Imperial March ;D

What music was going through Jens' head at the time? Might whistling the theme to Rambo have helped the situation? Outraged Father: Hey you! Were you shadily eyeing my son's reproductive organ just now? Jens: Er... who really can say? Outraged Father: Well, were you or weren't you? Jens: Not really, I mean, one is forced to consider the, er, remote possibility that, all things being considered and making all possible allowances, I might have caught a glimpse of it, but not, you know... a significant one in any way. Not that your son's member could at all be described as insignificant, no. It is quite... er impressive, if I do say so myself. Outraged Father: So you were ogling him? Jens: Yes. I mean, NO! I mean, let's be quite clear about this, without beating about the bush, the plain fact of the matter is that, you know... ahm... dum dum drrrrrrrrrrrmmmmm! Dum-dum-daa-daaaa, daaaaa-daaaaaaa-daaaaaaa-daaaaa-daaaaa-da-da-dum! Da-da-dum-da-da-da-da-dum-da-dum! Dum-dum-brrrrrffffft! [*makes Rambo: First Blood Part II farting noise*] Outraged Father: Yooooouuuuu... bastard! [*punches the s*** out of poor Herr Dietrich*] No, I don't think Rambo would have helped at all.
