Are you serious? I'm 19 and I still can't do any of the things you mentioned. Damn USA. Well, the reason I can't smoke (cigarettes) isn't because I can't buy them (I CAN), but because I play trombone, but whatever.
But happy B-day Hook. Hopefully your parents will buy you lots of film scores ;D

Happy Birthday Hook. Were all of the stars aligned?... Did you have an ephiphany where the Sky opened up and told you it was very pleased? Have you been in deep thought about the meaning of it all. Oh, I forgot. I think this happens at age 30. (see...) ;D

I don't know how to feel about this, so I won't feel anything. Sorry. I'm that weird.

Intense feelings of existential dread, desolation and angst are the correct response.
Enjoy.

I don't know how to feel about this, so I won't feel anything. Sorry. I'm that weird. Your not weird at all. In fact, I think you are one of the most normal, sanest people on this board, assuming that you have accepted "it." Intense feelings of existential dread, desolation and angst are the correct response. He's to young to experience these feelings. "The boy" (In a Ct. Picard-like accent) will learn them once he gets older... -CG

I'd gone through all of these sad and despondent feelings -- not to mention guilt, helplessness, hopelessness, and thoughts of death -- by the time I was 18. If you don't there's something wrong with you.

If you don't there's something wrong with you. I didn't. I was a well-adjusted and happy kid all through my adolescence and late-teen years. So what's wrong with me (other than the obvious) to make my "normal" childhood so unusual?

Broxton --Of course, you had a "normal" childhood -- you had LION bars! We in America are not so blessed. Brendan --Your pancake rabbit is a sin againt nature. You and your unholy fell beast o' Island of Dr. Moreau-ish magnitude must be stopped at all costs before even more confectionary tribbles are unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. Seek help. Carlton --Some choice things you can do with "it": 1) eat it 2) shove it up your ithole Jens --Good God, man. Have a drink or have sex with somebody right now -- that's an order. Hook --Happy Birthday!!! Truly, the best of times . . . not that you'd feel it . . . weirdo. ;D [glow=red,2,300]PLJ[/glow]

If you don't there's something wrong with you. Being depressed for 4 years, I can tell you're an amateur. As I see it, I've already been a 60 to 80-year-old man, skipped adolescence altogether and am now currently stuck with my middle age crisis. At 18, so old, so little accomplished.

At 18, so old, so little accomplished. I don't want to turn this into a discussion about who's a pro or amateur when it comes to this issue, but if your old, I should be rolling in my grave by now ...Don't tell me tht the Captain has become a machine that's unable to feel anything. Is that what we will become when sorrow is all that is left to excite us? Anyway, before I start quoting Schubert or Schumannn again, I wanted to know if they were any film music tracks that tend to momentarily lift up your spirits. Under most conditions, The Journey to the Island, and For the Love of a Princess always seems to bring a smile to my face. Does anyone here have any other mood-lifting music that they listen too? -Carlton
