34% with 64 reviews counted. It's looking good for my estimate.

It's not Speed Racer without Spritle and Chim Chim. If you don't like them, well... can't help ya there. See a different movie perhaps.

Soon as the last bunch of major reviews come in tomorrow we'll count up this sucker. I say we wait until there are at least over 100 reviews before declaring the final tally.

STAR TREK! i know they belong there, but all their scenes were way too childish.the movie has a serious story.thats soo japanese.Even the kids in the theater didn´t laughed much.and why is the fasttalk gone? the speedracer series is fampus for its machinegun-dialogue.but nothing, nothing in the movie of it.

I saw it today to for the first time in it's final form, and I loved it. The world the Wachowskis have created is amazing, and the editing/transitions are revolutionary.

Didn't they use a new technology camera where the foreground and background are in focus at the same time that had to be protected by guards at all times? Is the movie really worth seeing just for the new technology? I'm a lot more forgiving with movies than most people and was thinking about seeing this tomorrow (or Iron Man). -Nate

I think it was just that they filmed things in layers. Regardless, the result is something truly visually unique works very much in favor of the story.

As I said before the film came out. Style over substance.
Pass.

I still have yet to write my review, but I felt that the movie was like SPY KIDS 3D meets THE ADVENTURES OF SHARKBOY AND LAVAGIRL squeezed through the Wachowski Brothers filter, and then stretched out to a bloated 132-minutes. I saw it in IMAX on Wednesday and my retinas have finally recovered. The world was interesting, but not amazing, and nothing in it seemed truly revolutionary or groundbreaking. The transitions were nice, but the idea of using a lateral composite to mask a wipe isn't really anything new. The filmmakers went a bit overboard with that, though, and it's certainly a trip - I don't think I'll need anything less than the Blu-ray release to get high. The music was good, and easily one of the best parts of the movie. Just my 2-cents, but I don't think I'm alone in my sentiment!
