Hey, I'm back in full swing now! So after reading the artcle at fsm, I just wonder what everyone else thinks about records. It doesn't just have to be film scores. I've been importing the Young Republic stuff from the UK, and I pick up what I can from our campus record stores and Half Price Books (for CHEAP) and some of the stuff I have isn't on cd at all (like The Hiding Place...John Williams, you thief!!) so there are benefits, at least to me. Anyone have a thought?

Good stuff, very interesting to listen to. On the downside, quite annoying size and getting players is pretty hard these days. Still, I'll probably go for the experience a lot more once I've settled down somewhere, given that they still exist at that time.

I have to go with indifferent. I like vinyl just fine, but can't really say that I miss the format all that much. I'm hooked on the convienience of CDs and MP3s.

Records are soooo less convenient than everything else. Thumbs DOWN! Not when you have Vinyl stuff that isn't on CD yet. Joe

I love the sound of vinyl, especially for classic rock recordings.

Depending on the recording, of course, vinyl can sound fantastic. I have a collection of Beethoven symphonies never released on CD that sound superb on a proper set-up.
