I hope you all have at least a wee bit o' fun today . Okay, bad joke, I know. And if you don't celebrate or observe, have a nice Thursday (the week is almost over!). Em

Oh yeah. I love the Irish. Very... um... green. And happy. Why DO so many Americans celebrate St. Patrick's Day anyway? It can't be simply because of all the Irish immigrants in New York.
St. George Day is the "English" patron saints day. We don't do anything for that!

Why DO so many Americans celebrate St. Patrick's Day anyway? Probably the beer.

Everybody should celebrate, It's not that hard to do. Just break out your soundtracks, either Rob Roy or Braveheart or Bobby Jones, or The Devil's Own, or Far and Away, and so on, and let the fun begin. And if you have a couple of other cd's like Skyedance or The Piper's Legacy, you can throw those into the mix too. Anyone else have any St. Pat's music suggestions? Oh, I'm about to let the fun begin. -Carlton

Anyone else have any St. Pat's music suggestions? As your attorney, I advise you to down vast quantities of Irish Car Bombs, Irish Coffee, Irish Whiskey, Scotch, Black and Tans, Strongbow, Irish Shillelagh, Celtic Mix Cocktails and Wild Irish Rose.

In reply to Broxton's rather bizarro question:
Booze, booze, and . . . oh yeah, more booze. How can Americans NOT like this holiday?
Jens:
Don't forget Irish Flags, Irish Mist, and Black and Blacks.
To all those who will still have the cognizant powers to comprehend sentences that are comprised of more than six syllables by later on tonight (apart from "Pour me another one"), I offer the following toast:
"May the Best Day of your Past be the Worst Day of your Future!"[/b][/color]
[glow=red,2,300]Cheers and PLJ[/glow]

Don't forget Irish Flags, Irish Mist, and Black and Blacks. Of course, of course. In fact, I'm about to go out to the pub right now. Here's to lying, stealing, and cheating! May you lie to save a friend; May you steal the heart of the one you love; and may you cheat death.

I purposely wore my green shirt and tie yesterday so as to not get harassed at work today. Everyone would say, "Nate, are you dressed up for St. Patrick's Day?" I made the mistake to wear green on St. Patrick's Day once in highschool and everyone kept asking and my honest answer was, "It was the shirt on the very top of my drawer." So, ya. Happy Thursday! -nate

I wore a green sweater today (complete with olive oil), but only because that's the only sweater I have. It is definently going to be washed however....Why did people think I cared about St Patrick's holiday spirit? Meh. The only thing that matters is the booze, as other people so keenly suggested. Anything for an excuse to go to the "pub"... To bad I'm not old enough...I am still working on fixing this problem, however.
Oh, but funny story...this guy in my history class from some forgein country (I can't remember which one) said he got suspended in 2nd grade the year he moved to America because he didn't wear green on St. Pattrick's day, and another kid pinched him, so he didn't know what was going on and returned the pinch with multiple punches....hilarious ;D

I missed St. Patrick's Day? Not fair, I even wore a green shirt yesterday. What horrible luck......means I won't get one lousy pinch until next year! I'm making up for this by listening to "Elegy" from The Negotiator right this minute (btw, because of this track, I want Revell to score the next highland epic that comes along) -Joe (un-pinched and un-loved)
