I consider myself so fucking lucky to have seen this movie before the "I drink you milkshake" thing became such a popular internet meme, and so over-satirized. IMHO this is one of the greatest masterpieces of cinema ever, and for many its impact has been considerably lessened by having that scene spoiled.
Also, Jangles, why is it that you're always about a half year behind the times, internet fad-wise? Rickrolling, lolcats, I drink your milkshake, etc. all posted months after it was no longer cool to do so.
Does this mean you're going to start posting "DO NOT WANT!" at every opportunity here soon?

Why is it that you always feel it necessary to point out that you think I am behind in the times of internet memes, when most of the times they are still very active, at least in some internet circles??
And for your information, I had NO IDEA about the milkshake meme before seeing the movie a few days ago. The only reason I discovered it was after seeing the Busted Tee's shirt advertisement for a shirt that said "I Drink Your Milkshake" and then wondering if it came from the movie.
I already have posted "DO NOT WANT" a lot here, besides.
And for your information, I know that movies like that are the kind of movies that people like you love, and for the life of me, I still can't figure out why. It was so incredibly dull, overblown, and overacted that it took me 3 sittings to complete it. Daniel Day Lewis did a great job (though overacted), but the story was so booooring...Why, oh why, could they not have at least made it only 100-120 minutes? The first ten minutes of the movie didn't even have any dialog.
I don't just like movies like Transformers. Hell, I loved Atonement and No Country For Old Men (other nominees and more "highbrow" movies). I guess if by not liking a movie like this, I am "pulling a Jangles" as you say. You seem to have some sort of vendetta against me here lately for posting not-so-old memes on here.

Also, allow me to direct you to a MMUK thread from January.

The internet is a huge Linksys WRT54GL Router. That's how it works.

Yeah, sorry, Jangles, but you're way behind the times with some of the more popular internet memes. Meanwhile, I created this one, and hopefully it will stick like... like... a sticky substance on some improbably... unstickable surface... oh, well. You saw it here first, folks! lolSHARKS!

Sorry Hook. That picture was made popular several months ago and I have already seen several captions for it. Who's behind now?

But this one's mine! And it will be popular! And my grandmother will send it to her entire address book! Yes.
Anyway, I don't think quoting from South Park is cool now that it sucks.

Anyway, I don't think quoting from South Park is cool now that it sucks. The same's true for quoting from Family Guy or any Adult Swim show. Just so that you're all aware.
