Neal Hefti is a great 60s era composer. He wrote the goofy Batman theme for the old goofy Batman show. He also scored The Odd Couple (film and show too apparently) in a zany fun way. One of my favorite Hefti scores (and the film is great too) is How to Murder Your Wife (with Jack Lemmon). Here's his IMDb page: imdb.com/name/nm0006126/As for David Buttolph, he was a workhouse composer in the Golden Age. I wasn't familiar with his music either really until SAE released his Foxes of Harrow score. Listen to the sound clips. The first especially sounds great. I bought the score and it's not as great as the sound clips would indicate but it's still very good. imdb.com/name/nm0005987/SAE's release of Foxes of Harrow: www.screenarchives.com/title_detail.cfm?ID=4224Yavar
