Thank you for the birthday CDs! I look forward to this weekend when I can sit and listen through them all...The Quiet Man especially is always a score I've wanted to sample and now I have the perfect opportunity! You are too kind. -Brendan

Lovely, I've never gotten that adjective before... Acck, take it away. It should be reserved for film music. Did you fall in love with the Sounds (and music) of the NFL?

Also, I just noticed Brendan's new avatar picture. ;D John Williams looks like he was just poked in the stomach like the Pillsbury Dough Boy. I know Williams is no David Arnold, but why must you tease your 2nd favorite composer? -nate

It's only two months late. ;D Do you like the Christmas Cannon and the Western Ballads. Damn, part of me wawnts to take a chance on one of these Morricone releases, but there are no samples. Haven't had time to listen to them yet (I think I've listened to the Prince Valiant suite I was talking about in another thread about ten times tonight). The weekend is when I will start them. You can expect a package from me in probably three weeks or so (I move like a commie). Unless something happens to me. Tomorrow we are harvesting 15 foot Balsam at the Christmas Tree farm I'm working at. Those puppies weigh hundreds of pounds. I could be crushed by a tree or accidently bailed or something. And who on earth is buying these trees? Where would you put them? Odd. We have order's for a 30' Canaan Fir tree and a 25' Fraser Fir as well. Are people crazy? Time for bed (after listening to the Prince Valiant suite again). -nate

Carlton, SAE has sound samples in MP3 for almost all of the Morricone releases, and for FSM's superb Guns for San Sebastian, they have a lot of complete tracks in Real Player.

I'll answer that question tomorrow night. I might need some coffee. There is too much music to listen to. NP: La Sonnerie de Sainte Geneviève du Mont à Paris for violin, viola da gamba & continuo I played this like 5 times tonight.

I know the feeling. Now that I'm back in Italy I finally can access all the stuff I ordered/traded for in the past 6 months. All the Intrada special collection, Varese club CD's (old ones) and other stuff sitting on my desk. It's great. And not to forget Emily's, Roy's and some of Tom's stuff...
