Does anyone have the older Intrada release of Silverado that they want to get rid of since they bought the expanded 2 CD version? I would be interested in buying.

Dang. I had it but gave it to a sibling since I thought few people would be interested now that we've got one from the original multitracks...

Yeah, I don't want to spend 30 dollars on that.

Agreed that the Tombstone complete is a much better deal (and for a better score, IMO). I'm thinking the higher price tag on Silverado is because of the additional cost of licensing they had to do since it's a Columbia film. On Tombstone they had a special license.

Hey, if you don't have an old copy yet, PM/email Jens. He may be able to help you out.

I actually got rid of Silverado once they announced they were re-releasing it.... I don't plan on getting the longer version either. I barely, actually I haven't, even listened to the cd-r that I made of it.... -CG PS: I love the film....

You love the film yet you don't like the score? That's strange. I thought the score kinda helped make that movie. After the first half hour which is brilliant I really think the movie peters out and gets eye-rolly.

I prefer "Tombstone" as a score (but both are great), but "Silverado" is a bit more entertaining as a film. I'm sort of a Broughton nut in general, though, so I bought both of the new Intrada releases of those two... but yeah, I actually gave my sister the shorter versions once I got the expanded ones.

Well, maybe, love was too strong of a word. I just like the film more than I like the score. I probably would place Tombstone ahead of Silverado, but I have to see the films agian...

Yeah, I'd place both film and score for Tombstone ahead of Silverado. Silverado past the first half hour just can't compete...anybody else think the movie is great at first (with Keven Kline recovering his hat, his gun, his horse...plus John Cleese) but then just totally peters out?
Tombstone's a flawed film too, but not as noticeably.
