I'm not sure if anyone realised this - I only just realised myself! - but the MMUK Discussion Board was one year old on January 5th.
Thanks to everyone who's posted here - especially Jangles, Armin, Carlton, Jens, Demetris, Peter, Kuhni, Brendan, Hook and Tharpy (the Top 10 posters!) - for keeping this place alive and the discussion fresh and vibrant! ;D
9,163 posts in just over a year - thats an average of around 25 per day. Not too shabby!

I think this is a good occasion to thank you for setting up such a wonderful place, and somehow being able to keep the nuts out. That is, the unrelated nuts...
May the MMUK Discussion Board have many more good years, and until I get banned I will surely continue to contribute to that.

I've been internetless for a while, so this post is a little late, but may I tell you, Jon, that this is far and away the best sountrack forum on the web. Thanks very much.

Seriously though - how do you keep the nuts out? Or haven't they found the site yet?

I keep a gun in my desk drawer But, no, they haven't found it yet. I think it helps that you have to be a member in order to be able to post anything - and you have to have a VALID e-mail address, which I have access to as the board owner. Then I can just arbitrarily ban people who break the rules. I mean, basically, the only rule is "be nice and don't be an asshole", so it's not that difficult... I hope I don't have to start banning anytime soon...

Thinking about it the registration thing is quite good. Of course one could just make an address up and spam all over the place, but it's not worth it. Well, I am glad it is like it is, and in the end even the banning wouldn't be so hard. It's not like the damn spam mail which never stops...
