Still nobody here going? Will I be the sole representative of this board? Brendan? Now that you've brushed up your Spanish in Argentina? Jon & Ami? You could stop in the U.K. to see your family? James, Peter? Aren't you the closest on the board, geographically? Khüni? You never know where & when a new volcano might pop up! Carlton? You could have gotten the DVD of last year's concert, with Basil Poledouris! Hook? The climate would be quite the same! Chris? You could get invited as a composer! Tom? The composers would be assured to be asked intelligent questions! Yavar & Armin? You could-- uh-- surely think of a reason to come! Emily? You could make a psychological study of a few hundred film music lovers at once! I know-- money. Still, no one coming? :(livier

I'm sorry I overlooked you in my list, Michael-- you and a few others. I would have liked to meet you there too, of course.
Have a good time partying down under!

I'm sorry I overlooked you in my list, Michael You're forgiven . Maybe Armin can stay where he is, and I will move to Europe ;D. You certainly seem to have access to some amazing film music events. Have a good time partying down under! Oh, we will definitely do that!

Yeah, Oliver, I still have to get the DVD. Those YouTube images of Poledouris conducting are fresh in my mind. Have fun at the conference and represent the Board well.

Sounds like a great line-up. Unfortunately lack of money, lack of time and lack of knowledge of Spanish has prevented to go.

and lack of knowledge of Spanish has prevented to go. That´s the worst excuse I´ve ever read. You don´t need to speak an idiom to spend some days in other country. I know lots of people who move around this World without knowing a single word of other language. And if you need help of Spanish...just ask. If you happen to visit this wonderful country, you´ll have some help if you phone to me for translation services (though I´m moving to Barcelona in October). I also know where some of the best places for soundtracks are in Bilbao, Madrid and Barcelona. Just in case
