Hey everyone,
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. Fall will be here shortly, so that means the JW/LA Philharmonic concert is only a few months away. If possible, can potential attendee's update their status? Based on the earlier thread, I have:
Definite: Carlton, Jon Broxton (and Ami), Jangles, Tj (and family), Craig ...
Most Likely: Mrs. and Mr. Hermione, Christian, Greenaxer ...
Maybe (and hopefully): Hook, Jon Lord, Jens, Yavar, Kevin, Nate ...
Group Tickets (groups of 10+) for the JW/LA Philharmonic concert went on sale last week (July 6th). For those who are planing on going, would you be interested in purchasing group tickets? The good thing about group tickets is that we wouldn't have to worry about the event selling out. Right now, only groups and season subscribers are able to purchase tickets, so plenty of tickets should be available. Individual tickets go on sale August 23rd, and there will be a very short window to purchase tickets. (JW is too damn popular!)
The bad thing about group tickets is that we would have to decide on a section and so forth... Groups receive discounts for the Terrace, Terrace L-P, and Terrace East/West sections. The prices are listed below:
Front Orch: 160
Orch: 140
Orch East/West: 105
Terrace: 78 (originally 98)
Terrace L-P: 78 (originally 98)
Terrace East/West: 56 (originally 70)
Terrace View: 47
Balcony: 50
Orch View: 53
The seating chart with picture views can be seen here:
www.laphil.com/tickets/seating_chart.cfm
The Orch East/West section is close to the median price range, so it seems like an good option. The orchestra view seats are intriguing because you get a good view of the orchestra and you also get to see JW's face (not his back) while he's conducting. I'm guessing that the sound isn't ideal, so that's why it's pretty cheap.
Anyway, here's what the LAPhil site says regarding the payment plan:
"Easy Payment Plan!
Unsure about the size of your group? We have a solution to help you plan months ahead before your chosen concert. Our Easy Payment Plan allows you to reserve a number of seats to a given concert with a 30% non-refundable deposit. Six weeks prior to the concert, the final payment is due, and it is at this time that you may adjust the number of tickets that you actually need. To reserve the best seating for your group and to take advantage of the Easy Payment Plan, call today at 323.850.2050.
Please Note: Once final payment is received, your account will be closed and no refunds or exchanges will be made; all sales are final. It is possible to add additional concert tickets with a $12 processing fee once the account is closed. Tickets will be mailed to the contact address, unless otherwise specified."
Thoughts everyone?
