So, what's going on with this then? Emily's in town in May, and Jens is coming across the pond fort a visit.
I'm thinking a meet-up the weekend of May 14-15, somewhere in London. I can't do week-days because of my day job and the fact that London is 3 hours away by train, but other commitments notwithstanding, I don't see any reason why a gang of us can't get together and have a fine old time. Good food, fine wine, good company, stimulating conversation, and all the film music you can shake a stick at, all taking place within the historic and hallowed turf of the English capital. What's not to enjoy?
What say you? Anyone SERIOUSLY want to get involved? Because, if so, we need to start planning something, because its only a month away...

Finally! I was beginning to think that no one else really cared to meet up. Jens and I planned to meet that weekend anyways, so I guess he and you should talk it over, pick out a good place to meet up, and let me know. I will most likely be bringing my roommate as well. I do hope some more of you guys decide to come. You know you want to.

Will it make you regret not flying over? Will it make indulge in the pleasures of the palm? As for Atlanta, well, I have seen Jens and he has seen me. I think I can be at peace with the universe now. Also, what the heck would I want to be do doing in Atlanta?! I have a hard time believing it'd be any nicer than the UK. More affordable, yes, ..but nicer?! I don't think so. pete.

Will it make indulge in the pleasures of the palm? Hey, Palm Sunday already passed... But maybe he likes to give Palms (Psalms) to himself everyday of the year. American Catholics. ;D Southern Hospitality can be pretty nice. Ashley Smith even cooked her "kidnapper" Pancakes. She also let him take a shower, read him a book, and watched TV with him. Would people, in the UK, have been so nice?... The South shall rise again ;D -Carlton

I do hope some more of you guys decide to come. You know you want to. The question of wanting to is not an issue...the $700 it would currently cost to get there IS an issue. *sigh* Maybe next year. -Brendan
What???
What is the What about? Was it about What Went On or the Catholic Palm problem. Note: the second article may contain notions which some may find distrubing ;D. -Carlton

The second link offends me very much, not because the subject matter, but because it DISCOURAGES the subject matter.

Few things ...
One: I second Brendan's notion. No work and too much play makes Tex a poor boy. See you in a year.
Two: Carlton, your second link made me physically sick. Congratulations.
Three: Why do I get the feeling that if a large black man walked into MY kitchen, and 'I' made him some pancakes, he'd be using my blood as a gallon of makeshift syrup?

I've booked the flight. Will arrive early on Friday morning, leave Tuesday afternoon. Am also bringing a friend from Atlanta, and meeting another friend who's flying in from Denmark. They're girls, so they'll want to do lots of sight-seeing and shopping (me, I just want to BUY HATS!)
I agree that we should all have a big get-together that weekend. Go to a restaurant, stroll around central London etc.

All those girls around you, and you only want to BUY HATS??? What can I say? No decent hat stores ("hatteries"?) in Atlanta, I fear.

What can I say? No decent hat stores ("hatteries"?) in Atlanta, I fear. Millinery. A place which sells hats is called a millinery. There endeth the lesson.
