I am going to touring my band The Young Republic ( www.theyoungrepublic.net www.myspace.com/theyoungrepublic ) through the UK and probably parts of europe in May. Not all the dates are definite yet, but theres been quite a few booked and if anyone would be interested in seeing the show, or just meeting up for a drink or whatnot, that would be nifty! Here are the dates so far: May 14 2008 8:00P The Borderline London May 22 2008 8:00P Monkey Cafe Swansea May 24 2008 8:00P The Knights (!!!) Yeah whatever. When are you coming back to Ohio, or maybe Colorado?

You're going to Middlesbrough. My condolenses. Funny, my band is more popular in Middlesbrough than probably anywhere else in the world. The show we played there in September was simply ridiculous the positive reaction we got. Never seen anything like it before. I don't think any condolences are necessary! Whats wrong with Middlesbrough??!?! N8

I liked what I heard (that trumpeting could use some work, though)! Spreading the word for you, since I can't visit the "most depressing, crime-ridden, poverty-stricken, socially-underdeveloped and generally worst place to live in the UK" at the moment.

Nate, I had completely forgotten about your band. I know you mentioned it last time we talked on the phone, which was a while back, but I didn't realize you were touring. Kudos.
I just bought your album and three EPs on iTunes. Love the music. Memorable, mellow, folksy-twang... great stuff. Which instrument are you playing again?

Nate, I ordered ya'll's (can I say ya'll's here?) CD from that back-alley music place and let my brother listen to it. He said to tell me the music was great and he really enjoyed the album.
I think it's horrible, myself. Ghastly stuff.
Actually, I'm sure it's excellent but I only heard it once partially before I misplaced it my most recent move. I'm sure it will turn up sooner or later underneath a pile of Miyazaki DVDs or Tintin comics.
I don't really have a point here, especially since I don't live in the U.K. When are you coming to the gulf south? Not that I would especially want to come to the gulf south (I prefer Mountains, Gandalf) if I didn't live here already, but you know what I mean.

What album? 12 Tales from Winter City? Or one of our self-released ones? I would be curious to know where you would have found one of those... Nice! Well, its not exactly film score music, but there are moments where we can get a touch cinematic with a little influence on my part How about New Orleans on the 16th of March? I just booked us a show there! N8

I play viola and few other assorted odds n' ends. The 12 tales from Winter city album is a compilation of sorts of stuff we have recorded over the past few years. We are beginning to record two follow-ups this week actually, and they should be filtering in to the general public later this year. Listen carefully to about halfway through "Paper Ships" for little inside film music joke I snuck in there N8

Keep this up-to-date...if you guys do get to Deutschland and you are anyway near where getting to is easy (Sorry...too early for good English...), count me in. It's been four years since we last met...wanna see what did become of the former "Young One" of the ScoreBoard. Ta & tata, CK

Listen carefully to about halfway through "Paper Ships" for little inside film music joke I snuck in there. I recognize that theme, but I can't quite put my finger on it. What is it again? P.S. I wish the viola parts were mixed a bit louder.
