I suppose it helps to know John Houseman to "get" this sketch.
Personally, I think it's brilliant. I've always enjoyed the juxtaposition of the pompous and the extremely banal.

I know we're facing the most difficult economic hardships of our time, but WhyTF is YouTube not working for me right now? I'm sitting here at work trying to load videos from it and nothing's happening. I work, I expect YouTube to do the same, so that I can not work.
