I refrained from voting so far, but yes. Obviously.

Belatedly, I vote for Canada as well. Can't build proper houses or bake proper bread, but apart from that, it's all gold. And smells of freshly mown grass.

Mmmmm, hard to say for myself. Having never been to Great Britain, but having ventured to Canada on no less than four lengthy occasions (with plans to do so again many times), and considering that my father's family is from Winnipeg and only recently achieved US Citizen status, I may have to vote for Canada. And those poutines are helping with the decision. ;D For now let's say Canada. All this reminds me of a pretty silly poem I wrote a couple years ago for one of my best friends who live in Ontario. Ahem, a short excerpt: It wasn’t that they threatened us, or bribed us with their cash Their charm, their splendour, and good taste made it hard to last. They could instantly convince you to part with kith and kin And come to stay in Canada, to pay homage to their king Suddenly the USA seemed kinda lame at best The eastern part was snobby, and California too far west The people down below kept speaking rather strange And the middle part was littered with some really boring plains. I packed my bags and started North, to dwell in Montreal I told them that I loved it and they said, “Well, don’t we all?” I followed all the northern teams, I rooted for their stars I forgot about America, it might as well be Mars. *** Oh, Canada! Oh, Canada! God gave me peace in Thee I’ll embrace thy charms with loving arms And dual-citizen be!

For the sake of the poll I'll say Canada, if only because that is the land from which my ancestors hail-- going only as far back as my great grandparents, I do believe. However, my true home will always be the United States, which I quite love. Or perhaps it is more appropriate to say Wyoming is my true home, the state which I have always found to be amongst the few, most sanely livable in the country. Being only half a million people "large" statewide creates a welcome berth of easy-going citizens far less likely to get themselves into each other's business and thus into trouble.

Quite a poem, ddueck. I would be very impressed if it weren't so very wrong...

Quite a poem, ddueck. I would be very impressed if it weren't so very wrong... Haha, well rest assured it was composed in a flame of sarcasm. And I only posted a small bit of it. It's not all so flagrantly unpatriotic.
