I am MOST affronted by your poor memory, Brendan! *gulp* Sorry my friend...my pitiful brain did not remember your artistic endeavor...but that's exactly what we're going for, yes, ;D It's too bad we couldn't set up some kind of html form/image system by which we could type in our city/state/country, push "submit" and then have our name appear in the correct location. That way each person could be responsible for updating his/her own location and it wouldn't fall to one overworked German to accomplish. Oh, and Jens, I am offended by your creation of the contraction "Why'd." -B

Oh, and Jens, I am offended by your creation of the contraction "Why'd." Oh, it's hardly my creation, Brendan. In fact, I remember a Dolly Parton song called "Why'd You Come in Here Lookin' Like That".

Yes, but that song's use of it is "Why Did"...your use was a combination of "Why Would".....however, if you had knockers as big as Dolly Parton, you could make up any contractions you wanted. -Brendan

However, if you had knockers as big as Dolly Parton, you could make up any contractions you wanted. I'm working on it, dammit! You've gotta be patient, Brendan -- these hormone treatments don't kick in overnight, you know!

My point being: "Why'd" does not mean "Why Would". It means "Why Did". Words such "Could", "Should", and "Would" cannot be contracted at the end of the word "Why". I forgive you though, as I know English is your third language (after German and The Language of Love). If this is the case, please wear baggier clothing next time we meet in person. What security risk? If we're just posting our screen names and states (and/or provinces), what government organization could possibly harm us? ;D -Brendan

If this is the case, please wear baggier clothing next time we meet in person. Just what am I supposed to do with all this skin-tight leather, then? What security risk? If we're just posting our screen names and states (and/or provinces), what government organization could possibly harm us? What I meant is that having our personal info accessible online for the sake of an updatable map would really be no different from Hook's profile database proposal.

Ok, I've decided I'll go ahead with this. It'll take time, as I'm progressively learning the tools to do this, but I'll make this my little project. I'll try to be clear as to what I'm thinking here (because my ideas are so freakin' original -- -- I have no point of reference to work with). Mine is a proposal of a global community of film score fans, to somehow bring together visitors of all forums together in a unique way, without interfering with those sites' normal activities. For example, a neat feature I just came up with would be that of the, tentatively titled, "track the score" fashion ("track the soundtrack" sounds lame and obvious). How does this work? I'm glad you asked. Users can input their score collections into the database as well. When another user is looking for a certain rare score, he'll use the search function mentioned above created for this purpose and track down users who would be willing to share. It's time-saving and is a lot more efficient than asking in forums and run the risk of being ignored. Also, there could be a section devoted to notices on eBay auctions. Say, you're selling some of your CDs on eBay and you want to garner attention. Put it on the site, where people can see what's new. The site describes and links to your eBay auction and, once terminated, you remove it from the notice board, or simply label it "SOLD". Whatever. It will be monitored, so the ones that are over are removed. I like the map idea. Flash is good. You could hover over select areas and see who's there, by name, then by clicking on them you are directed to their profile. I like that. I'm so sorry if all this sounds confusing or foggy. It's my fault. Every time I get a cool idea, it comes out like this. Like... blegh. ;D Any more suggestions?

It'll take time, as I'm progressively learning the tools to do this, but I'll make this my little project. You Commie So this is something similar to the soundtrackcollector.com database... What do you mean by share? Are you advocating that we break the law and form a strong friendly score Lobby? Ah, the Captain has become a Socailist ;D What is he going to do when Captailistic crooks start exploiting his system... So the Ebay search engine isn't good enough you. ;D I actual wouldn't mind setting up some kind of ebay system. I do have some of you in my favorite sellers section (Tromboja, jon, jens, brendan?, etc)... Boy, that map idea sounds original, but Hook you are starting to sound like a big-time stalker. ;D And I agree, people should update thier profiles. I mean, I don't even what scores you have. Umm... you're a socailist, I'm not sure I can share my illegal thoughts with you... ;D -Carlton

You Commie The communist party has been banned in Costa Rica since the 1950s. They still come out to lose under cloak names and "revisioned doctrines", though. The what? *checks site* Damn it! Well, I still think that particular idea is doable. You see, mine is a more user-oriented space. For example, you search for a score and a few guys have it. You can either communicate with them personally or post your situation on the "Traded, Lost and Found (tentatively)" section, where users can see how things are going with trades and purchases overall. You post a message with that you're offering, under your displayed "Found" status. The guys who have the score you'd like will take notice as might someone else who didn't list that particular score on his score list. You sort things out amongst yourselves. Voila! I don't know about you, but this feels more dynamic and, dare I say, brotherly? Anyway, people keep sucking on my thoughts before I even have them. Sure, they'll give them back. They'll give them back... used. By my calculations, you should be producing 3 times what you're producing now and some time in the future your system will crash and I will laugh and distribute my propaganda to acommodate the masses. It's all in the book. Scheduled and that. But really, I'm talking about sharing or buying legitimate CDs. If the users' deal involves CD-Rs, it's to be assured that both users acknowledge this before proceeding with the trade. So as to avoid: "Dude! La Cuccagna's CD cover does so not say "Imagine". It's not original. It's been done before. What we're trying to do is expand on that idea in a new interface, with included new features. And it's not stalking. Stalking would be this other idea: Tracker cookies. The idea being to show what forum the user is visiting in that exact moment and see if he's posting or just lurking. ;D Or if he's not online... at all. Oh, I must be condemned for thinking evil twists in the name of silliness! I was saving this one for later, but here goes: Meh.

Hooky, question...out of these ten guys, who looks the most similar to you? If nobody has a slight resemblance with you, then...you must look like Garfield.

Hooky, question...out of these ten guys, who looks the most similar to you? Hmm... in order: Row 1: No. Missing fedora hat. No. No. Hey, that's my cousin! Row 2: No. No. God no! (;D) No. No. Hmm... no. Actually, apart from my admirable eyebrows, I don't have any distinctive features. Which is quite nice, I can blend easily in most crowds. All this to say I, psychotically, believe myself to be a chameleon, so I have not objective view as to what I really look like.

Hmm... Hey, that's my cousin! You need to post a picture of this cousin of yours...I can't believe that I would have that close of a doppelganger in Costa Rica. ;D -Brendan, who by the way thinks that is a terrible picture of himself Keuhni...

Oh, JESUS CHRIST! WORST PICTURE OF ME, EVER! Don't you have any from ... oh ... let's say ... NOT the First Gathering (where I was accosted viciously by the occassional marauding German and their insidious disposable cameras)? Only the sheer inanity of a typical Brendan Anderson spastic Gollum pose acts as a stabilizing counterweight to my worst side. (I have to say the presence of Jens' Hawaiian clad mug helps too.)
