NP: "Letting Go" from SUPER 8. A truly fantastic finale cue. I LOOOOOVE this piece from about 1:47 on. Amazing music. That is one of my favorite end cues from Giacchino, and he has some really great ones. He is one of my favorites when it comes to end titles/final cues. He really knows how to give a good punch at the end. Listening to "Brainstorm" right now. Really enjoy the darker material on this one. After that I've got Elfman's "Batman" and JNH's "The Devil's Advocate" lined up.

BATMAN - there's another score with a great finale cue. It's short, but awesome.
NP - HOW I LIVE NOW by Jon Hopkins.
This film is coming out in a little while, but the score is already up on Spotify. I'm only on the first track. It's nice enough so far.

Starting off with "Remember Me" by Deriviere. Love this score, with its nice mix of David Arnold and Don Davis styles. After that Mr. Goldsmith will unleash some serious bombast with "The Shadow" and "The Haunting".

I'm am foolishly trying out Joseph Loduca's new score CURSE OF CHUCKY. Why, you ask? Well, I'm not particularly fond of anything Loduca's ever written, and I generally despise Horror films, and there's not a soul who has recommended this, but I'm listening to it because it's there. It's a new score. And you never know, maybe there will be a track that really blows your socks off. Well...so far there's not. It's all just unpleasant.

Spinning "Drag Me to Hell" by Christopher Young today. One of my favorite horror scores. That end credits piece is a blast.

Michael Kamen's "Robin Hood" main theme has been stuck in my head all day. I think it is the greatest movie theme ever written (okay, this depends on what mood I'm in, but today it is). It just gives off a magical feeling movie music is supposed to create. Also, the brass work in that thing is crazy (and crazy loud). Too bad stuff like this isn't written anymore. It's too edgy for modern Hollywood.

Starting off with "Mimic" by Beltrami this morning. It is really a great score with very intense moments, lovely moments and a tango just for the hell of it. For some reason I always forget about this one.

WINNIE MANDELA - Laurent Eyquem
Wow! This is gorgeous! I'm an instant fan. I haven't finished my first listen, but this is one of the best scores of the year, IMO.

Starting off with "Aliens" by Horner. I haven't listened to this in quite a while. Very enjoyable and the action music is a blast.
