I've seen a lot of films recently (thanks to Irene), so I thought I'd mention it here. Anyone else see anything worth posting about? Post away.... Here's some of the recent stuff I have watched: Killer of Sheep www.killerofsheep.com/Not a bad film, though it is a little depressing. I loved the use of the song, "This Bitter Earth" throughout the film. The Executioner's Song
A TV movie from the 80's. Not much to say, but James Newton Howard's ex-wife wasn't bad: Kissed By Winter (Vinterkiss)
A Norwegian film. I didn't care for parts of the plot, the ending... All About Women
A Chinese film. Entertaining but bizarre... The Big SleepA good film noir. I think I liked it a little more than the Maltese Falcon... speaking of noirs, my latest score purchase was: -CG

I have seen several films this year, but the one I liked more was Coen´s "True grit". I also enjoyed "Barney´s version" though it was a bit depressing. The rest was commercial stuff, and though I think "Cars 2" is better than the first, it´s a weak effort by Pixar anyway (at least, the script. Technically they´re very good).
It´s ages since I last saw "film noir", but I think you´d enjoy "The ice harvest" (modern film noir).
