And the world continues to not give a fuck. you cannot ignore how spectacular this looks. nothing ever was closer to Nobody Chronicles or On Burning Beton: In the Future many die hard under siege.

It does look pretty badass. HOWEVER, Roland Emmerich has a long and extremely consistent history of amazing looking trailers to godawful movies.
In the immortal words of The Who: "Then I'll get on my knees and pray we don't get fooled again. Don't get fooled again. No, no!"

The only films I didn't really enjoy from Emmerich were 10,000 BC and Godzilla. Interestingly enough, those films are never promoted on his trailers.

Emmerich is definitely one of those people who, as a kid, built huge elaborate cities out of legos, complete with little lego people happily going about their business....and then the next day destroyed the city in a wild fury of devastating stomps, kicks and smashes.
Most sensible parents take those kinds of kids to a psychiatrist...

This already makes the movie look a whole lot better.

Roland Emmerich has brought us these: Stargate, Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day. The first two are personal favourites. ID4 less so, but I still like it.
The man likes to _entertain_ first and foremost. So, whilst his films aren't exactly Oscar-bait, they're fantastic to eat popcorn to. They're not supposed to set the world alight, just blow it up :-)

I´ve seen the movie and its much, much better than the Day after Tomorrow. One of his best.

A Roland Emmerich film without CGI is like 60s Batman without the "Kaplow!" and "Zoom!" graphics. Still shitty, but less so.
