Is it just me or is Seinfeld overrated?

Cheno is right about Jens being right about Hermoine's rightness.

PS: To clarify, are you refering to the show or the man (and any of his comedy routines)?

I think I saw an episode once. It was OK I guess.

I have season 1 (5 episode) on DVD. I'll let you borrow I don't think they are anything close to the best episodes, thuogh.

I'm with Jon and Kevin on this one. My reactions to Seinfeld's comedy (or even the man's own standup) have always boiled down to a big fat "meh."

I find the show to be better than the standup, which is probably due to the influence of Larry David on the show.

Nothing after Seinfeld in American sitcom has lived up to it, except Curb Your Enthusiasm.

I have season 1 (5 episode) on DVD. I'll let you borrow I don't think they are anything close to the best episodes, thuogh. Season 1 is by far the weakest, mostly because of the fact that Jerry didn't really know how to act in a TV show and Jerry and Larry David had no idea how to create one in the first place. It gathers the most steam into Season 3 and especially Season 4. After a long arduous process, I finally have all 9 seasons of Seinfeld ripped into iTunes. Nothing is better when you have to kill some time than having Seinfeld on your iPod. -Brendan

I agree Brendan, the early seasons aren't so graet, and the first one I never really enjoyed watching on TV.
But i'd never buy the series because it's been on TV so much, and still is, the season 1 was a gift.
