I know, I know... it's just unfortunate that this game is the first EVER game for the team. It's a brand new team, and I really HAVE to be there at the first ever match. There's basically me and two other guys organising the whole thing, so if I drop out I might just cripple the whole franchise!!
Besides (and this is going to sound like HORRIBLE name dropping, so I apologise in advance....) I've already met Randy, Thomas AND David Newman - Randy on more than one occasion - and as much as it would be great to see them again, I'm actually more excited about the soccer.

Americans who play soccer are just rich kids who aren't tough enough to play American football. -nate Americans who play American football are dumb kids who aren't nimble or quick enough to use their feet to control a soccer ball! Yavar

know some of the rules from playing it in videogame form and watching a few games on tv. What teams did you watch? USA vs. Mexico?

What teams did you watch? USA vs. Mexico? If he's a proper soccer fan, he'll have been watching the Minnesota Thunder.

I haven't heard much about them on the news recently so I don't even know if they exist anymore. They used to be really good and won championship year after year (if I remember correctly) in the league they were in. They also seemed to kick (no pun intended) everyone's ass with scores like 7-0, etc., etc. Oh, they still play, alright! They play in the USL First Division (the league immediately below the MLS), and are actually doing pretty well - fourth in the league right now! They play most of their games at the James Griffin Stadium in St. Paul, on the grounds of Saint Paul Central High School, but they will be playing a couple of games thie year at the National Sports Center in Blaine (the first being against Virginia Beach Mariners on June 17th). They won their first game of the season on April 23rd 4-0 against Seattle; they're playing tomorrow against the Portland Timbers in Portland. You ought to go along!

A couple of billion people disagree with you, Kühni - me included! Yeah, but you're all crazy. Cray-zee, I say. ;D At least, it's gonna be crazy 'round these parts, as the Dutch team is staying nearby. And I've got three ScoreBoarders coming by as well. Madness. CK

Don't tell me you're having another Gathering and not telling me. I don't think I have to even mention the David Arnold/London/Broxton-bachelor-weekend incident, do I?!
